Women & Youth Economic Empowerment

During crises, women and young people are among the most vulnerable groups and are severely affected by disrupted education, loss of livelihoods and protection risks.

Women and young people are becoming increasingly vulnerable to the degradation of living conditions due to the devastating socioeconomic effects of years of conflict and a reversal of development. The long history of insecurity and economic instability in the country is resulting in a lost generation.

CARE is supporting women and young people by providing economic empowerment opportunities. CARE conducts training on business skills, as well as providing financial grants and

linking beneficiaries with financial institutions to help ensure they are able to generate income for themselves. In addition, we are supporting women and young people to access vocational, literacy and other training.

CARE is a global leader within a worldwide movement dedicated to ending poverty.
